New TP-Link mesh system now stops me from connecting PC to TV for casting
Hi all, I replaced my basis ISP-provided router with a TP-Link mesh system but unfortunately I cannot connect the PC to the television for casting like i used to. The connection is attempted and shows on the TV but the connection times out. Both set to 5Ghz and working off the same SSiD and even the same node. I have tried all the advice from Copilot etc and nothing works. The TV and PC recognise each other but just can't connect even with a basic video clip. Something has changed simply by installed the Deco mesh system and I can't figure it out. This is the main reason I actually bought the system, for a faster connection between the two devices. The node is close to both and in between them. System says everything is set up fine and working as they should be. Thanks very much...

Hi, do you use Chromecast for video casting?
Did it make any difference to connect the PC and TV to different Deco units?

@David-TP hi and thanks for the reply. I am just using the Windows 11 'Cast to Device' option as the files are on my hard drive. I have also found the same problem casting to a downstairs TV that is on a different node. Both are Panasonic TVs, but I am not sure if that is relevant'

Can you constantly reproduce this issue:
Panasonic TVs show up in the available list for video casting. The connection is attempted and shows on the TV, but the connection times out in the end.
Have you tried video casting from a mobile phone to a laptop? Did it work?
It is also suggested to enable the IoT network on 2.4GHz with another SSID, then connect both the PC and Panasonic TV to the IOT SSID to see whether the video casting works or not.
