Model: Deco M4
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.70 (build 20250228) rel 64570

Hello

I have three M4R deco units.

They're great and I like the Deco system but they see frequent drop outs of internet.  The internet is still coming into my house.

The route is: Internet > Deco > Switch > (wired) Deco (upstairs) ... > (wireless) Deco (garage)

I had this a little in a different house where the Deco seems to just drop out the internet.

Is this a known issue or is there anything I can test?

Should I look at getting a newer Mesh network system?

@ARGamingPK1 There is a new version, which seems to have been released a week or so after the last version - 1.8.1 build 20250829 rel 44659

Updated, dropped out again overnight.

Still drops out once a week or so.

I will ask Support if there is a log I can send them where they can explain what happens.

The box on the wall shows all incoming internet is fine, I restart the deco by way of pulling the plug out and it's fine again.

My wifi name is still "The Wi-Fi" - which someone mentioned the Deco may not like the hyphen but I don't want to have to change it if I don't need to.

  @DukeCaboom

Hi, thank you very much for the update.

When the Deco dropped out, would their LED lights also turn red? all of them or just the wireless Garage Deco?

Have you tried to set a different Deco M4 as the main Deco in case there is something wrong with the current main Deco?

If there is an ISP-provided router in front of the main Deco, it is also recommended to set Deco into “Access Point” mode.- How to set up Deco to work in Access Point mode

By the way, if you're going to save the system log, please save it before restarting the Deco, as rebooting will clear the previous logs.

Thank you very much.

Best regards.
