Model: Deco X68
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version:

Hi. I have a 3 mesh deco x68 system with the hub Ethernet connected to deco 2 which is the connected to deco 3. Everything has been work fine for 6 months and then yesterday I had some connection issues so rebooted my network. Now deco 2 won't work when connected via Ethernet. I have checked cables reset deco 2 but no change. As soon as I connect the Ethernet the light goes red. Works via wireless. I'm stumped. Ideas happily received.

Hi, thank you very much for the feedback.

Can I have the model number of the Ethernet hub?

Is the current network topology like:

ISP modem---main Deco----<Wi-Fi or Ethernet?>----Deco#2----Ethernet Hub----Deco#3

By the way, what is the current firmware version of the Deco X68?

Wait for your reply.

Best regards.

  @David-TP

Current working setup is - Main Deco X68 V2 connected to NBN Box

Main Deco - Wifi - Second Deco - Wifi - Third Deco.

What was working and what i want working is
Main Deco - Ethernet - Second Deco - Wifi - Third Deco.

but when I plug in the Ethernet to the second deco, it flashes red..

Firmware is 1,2,5 Build 20240805 Rel. 75285 on all decos.

  @Monkey

Hi, thanks for the update.

How about the model number of the Ethernet hub?

Have you tried to run an Ethernet cable directly from the main Deco X68 to the 2nd Deco X68 to see whether the 2nd Deco X68 could stay green?

Wait for your reply.

Best regards.

@Monkey  Hi, thank you very much for your time and patience.

Were you able to constantly reproduce this issue?

It is also connected to connect the main X68 to another Ethernet port of the second X68.

As satellite Deco units work the same, if we replace the location of the second and third Deco, will the disconnection always stay with the Ethernet-connected Deco, such as:

NBN Box--main Deco X60----<Ethernet>---the original 3rd X68---<WiFi>---the 2nd Deco X68

--Previously, you mentioned that " I have a 3 mesh deco x68 system with the hub Ethernet connected to deco 2 which is the connected to deco 3". I thought there was an Ethernet switch between the main Deco and the second Deco. Now, "the hub Ethernet" seems just to be a single Ethernet cable.

By the way, is there any other Ethernet device connected to the second Deco X68?

Wait for your reply.

Best regards.

Ok so I have reset all units. Built a new network, swapped the main deco twice.

The problem seems to be the cctv unit I Have connected via Ethernet to deco 2.

Everything continues to work well when deco 2 is connected to main deco via wifi and cctv unit connected via Ethernet.

However with both main deco and cctv unit both connected via Ethernet the Internet fails.

Difference since reset to before is that all decos show green but wifi fails.

That includes if I connect Ethernet with wifi already connected and working. Deco 2nflashes red and then goes green as if it is connected but Internet is inaccessible even via Ethernet connect cctv.

Hi, how about the model number of the CCTV unit? is it a CCTV NVR?

"Difference since reset to before is that all decos show green, but wifi fails. "

-Would there be any error message when the mobile devices failed to connect to the second Deco X68, such as "can't obtain IP address"?

Is there any chance that you can run a long cable to connect the CCTV unit directly to the main Deco?

Wait for your reply.

Best regards.
