Hello,

 

Now that we have local DNS service on the ER605 router (great!), I found that the Lan DNS does not work for WireGuard peers (remote clients).

I tested with an Android for which Private DNS has been switched off for the WireGuard VPN network. I also verified that I can access servers in my LAN by ip-address.

Am I missing a setting, or should this be considered a bug?

When configuring LAN DNS, the subnet must be set to the WireGuard VPN’s virtual network or to “All.”

there should be no problem with local dns, here is an example that I use and which must be entered into the wireguard client

 

DNS = 10.13.65.82, 10.13.65.69, mylan,intra

 

here I use 2 dns servers and a dns suffix

Hello,

Tried again, Wireguard subnet 10.0.0.x, Router subnet 192.168.1.x, no luck.

DNS Entries created with router's Lan DNS are not being resolved.

Anyone else observed this. too?
