Hello @deltaEpsy ,

Welcome to our community.

Regarding router placement: It is generally recommended to place your router flat in an open area. Placing the router on its side can negatively affect both heat dissipation and the direction of the Wi-Fi signal, which may impact performance. For optimal coverage and cooling, keep the router horizontal and ensure it is not obstructed by walls or furniture.

For the Archer AX80, the antennas are designed to be adjustable. You can position them vertically or slightly angled outward to help maximize signal coverage throughout your apartment. However, the most important factor is to keep the router flat and in a central, open location.

If you need more details about the AX80's antenna configuration, you can refer to the official product page: https://www.tp-link.com/home-networking/wifi-router/archer-ax80/

  @ChrisBS ,

surprise I see, you are likely right. In that case, deltaEpsy  should refer to what I mentioned before: "It is generally recommended to place your router flat in an open area."

  @Joseph-TP

Thank you for your reading and answering my question.

I understood that it's most important setting the router flat and central position of my home.

Next, I'm thinking about how to set the router on the center of ceiling. I don't need to answer  because it is NOT technical ploblem of Electronics engineering.

It doesn't matter ja version has no adjustable antenna because you told me a helpful answer.
