Hi everyone,

I installed my re500x in the room where the signal wasn't reaching. It's connected to a power strip with a switch. I installed it using the WPS button. Everything worked. This morning I turned the power strip back on (which I turn off every night), and the extender wasn't working. I had to redo the setup using the WPS button to get it to work. Is this normal? Shouldn't it automatically reconnect every time you turn it on?

I don't know the hardware version or the firmware version. How can I check which ones they are?

I tried enabling the band steering feature (I think that's what it's called) to use both the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands, but when it's enabled, nothing works. I think it's a router issue, though, because the feature was disabled and I only noticed it because the 2.4GHz LED wasn't turning on on the extender. I don't know if it's related to the problem I described above.

So, I need an extender that automatically connects every morning when I turn it on, without having to re-install it each time. Should this do that? If not, could you suggest a model that does. Thanks so much for your help.
