Deco M4 V3.0 - 1.7.0 Firmware (Connection Preferences)
I recently bought a 2 pack of Deco M4 pods to add to 3 existing ones I already had. The new ones I got happen to be V3.0 (the older ones I have are V2.0).
Recently, my V2.0 pods updated to firmware 1.7.0 and I was able to use the connection preferences feature. My V3.0 pods are on 1.6.1 and since adding them to my home network, I cannot use the connection preferences feature anymore.
Is there any way I can install the 1.7.0 firmware on my M4 V3.0 pods? I have been seeing threads when 1.7.0 was Beta, and there was an option to manually flash the firmware for V1.0 and V2.0 M4 pods. Is this option available for the M4 V3.0?

I haven't heard of any firmware plan for Deco M4_V3. So it is hard to say when Connection Preference will be added to Deco M4_v3.
Furthermore, as far as I know, Deco M4_v3 has been EOL for a while, and it is very unlikely to be sold through official channels.
If you can return the Deco M4_V3 to the Facebook seller, it is recommended to make an order through the official stores.

The 1.7.0 firmware for Deco M4_V2 can't be used for Deco M4_V3.
May I know where you purchased the Deco M4_V3?

I bought a 2 pack of the V3.0 M4 deco pods off Facebook Marketplace, but I am located in Ontario Canada, so i can only assume the original purchaser bought the V3.0 units within Canada.
I already had 3 M4 (v2.0) pods that i bought last summer, and i was hoping to get a couple more for some other rooms in my house.
I didnt know there were several versions of the M4 pods. They look identical, and it wasnt until i noticed a few of my outdoor cameras were loading very slowly and i couldnt see the "connection preference" in the app. That was when i realized the two pods i just bought (which are the V3.0 ones) are still on 1.6.1. My three V2.0 pods are currently on 1.7.0
Do you know if the V3.0 pods will be getting 1.7.0? I would really like to be able to use the connection preference feature.

Interesting. Well i really appreciate you following up!
I reset my router and modem, and now everything is working a lot better (even without the connection preferences). So, if things slow down again I will just do that.
I bought the 2 V3 pods for pretty cheap, so honestly its not the end of the world. I wont be able to return them. They work perfectly fine, i just wanted to update them because the connection preference was a nice feature for my outdoor cameras.
For now, i will live with the fact that the V3 pods probably wont be updated any more.
