So I am having a difficult time with the wifi/ethernet upload speeds.   I have a 1Gb connection - hardwired to the computer from provider router, I achieve 934mb Download/374Upload.  Same cable, connected to Deco, I get 948mb/8mb.  Provider wifi speeds from where I sit are 354/135mb as I sit 20ft away.   Deco Wifi speed is in the 400-500mb download, 4-5mb upload, sitting right next to router.  

 

My firmware is updated to the latest version.  

My placement is good.  Same room, no obstructions, maybe 20ft of distance ethernet, and using wifi numbers sitting right next to router.  

The device load is not heavy.  I have 19 devices connected between the main router, and two satellites.  

QoS is disabled.

UPnP is disabled.

SIP ALG is disabled

Network optimization done.

Router and satellites have been rebooted.  

Fast Roaming enabled

Beamforming on/off makes no difference.

 

I don't want to turn this into an AP point, defeats the purpose of having the system.

  @Robert_M1973 You can just try AP Mode. Some features will not available in AP Mode but the performance of Deco will be better in AP Mode.

  @ARGamingPK1 I appreciate that, but I do not want to go to AP mode.  I am looking for a solution that gives me a reasonable speed without sacrificing options I use.

@Robert_M1973 Try enabling UPnP, SIP ALG & Beamforming; and disabling fast roaming.

 

If you don't want to change it to AP mode, then you have to disable Wi-Fi on the provider router/set it to bridge mode; then setting one of the satellites as main Deco

Hi, welcome to the community.

May I know your internet service provider? How about the model number of the ISP-provided router?

 

How long have you had Deco XE75? Did the speed issue start recently?

 

If possible, it is suggested to send an email to support.forum@tp-link.com with some screenshots of the speedtest results on Deco(WiFi and Ethernet) as well as the speed tests on the ISP router.

How long have you had Deco XE75? Did the speed issue start recently?

 

The service provider is TelMex The router is Huawei EchoLife HG8145V5V3.  This is a new router.  When I decided to confront this issue, the first step was for TelMex to check the lines and to replace the old router.  So this issue has persisted through two provider routers

 

The Deco I have had since Spring 2023, with an additional satellite added in July of 2024.   The issue only became apparent to me months ago, I cannot pinpoint the date.  Only in the end of October did it become untenable.
