Hi everyone. I'm trying to block adult content from being accessed from a certain device. What happens is that when I select the option to block adult content, it doesn't block anything. But when I manually block a certain site, it works. It's like the templates are not working. I tried to do the same with templates like social media, and it didn't work either. The router only blocks the sites I manually specify.

Also, I think it'd be a good idea to be able to have a default filter, so that if a new device connects (guests for example), or the device changes its MAC address, the filter still works. You could have an option to whitelist the devices you want to be able to access restricted content.

Thanks. I hope it could be fixed soon, because its an useful feature.

Hello @MatuAR ,

Welcome to our community.

For your case, here are some steps to help:

1. Check Device MAC Address Settings:
• Many mobile devices use randomized MAC addresses by default, which can prevent parental controls from applying correctly. You can usually find this option in the Wi-Fi settings of the device.

2. Disable VPN or Secure DNS:
• If the device is using a VPN or secure DNS, it may bypass the router’s parental controls. Please disable any VPN or secure DNS features on the device for testing.

3. Verify Parental Control Profile and Content Filters:
• Go to the parental control profile in your router’s app (such as Tether or Deco), and make sure the correct content categories (like 'Adult Content' or 'Social Media') are selected in the Content Filter section.
• If the template is not working, try manually adding specific websites to the 'Blocked Websites' section as a temporary workaround.

4. Check Router Time Settings:
• Incorrect system time or Daylight Saving Time settings can cause delays or failures in parental control enforcement. Please check and correct the system time in the router settings (Tools > System > System Time).

If the suggestions above don't help, please take screenshots of your settings and send them here.
