Hi team,

 

I have a customer using the VX230v router. They have an issue where oubound calls to various numbers are disconnecting after precisely 15m 32s according to our CDR log.

 

We've tried factory resetting/reconfiguring the customer's router, but the issue persists. No issues with the internet connection itself, that appears stable.

 

I've seen a similar issue with another brand/model (NetComm NF10WV), where there's an advanced setting called "Session Expire Timeout" which is defaulted to 1800s and causes calls to drop after 30mins (29m 27s to be exact) - we just get the customer to add another 0 on the end. This seems to be an almost identical situation.

 

Closest setting I've found is "Session Expire Timeout", but this is set to 3600s as per the default, so I don't think it's this.

 

Any ideas? Is there a missing setting somewhere?

Who is your Internet Service Provider?

As far as I know, the VX230v should be an ISP-customized device. Did you get the modem from the ISP?

Please also provide the firmware and hardware versions of your modem. How to find the hardware and firmware version of my TP-Link device

Hi  @Joseph-TP,
 

Sorry for the delayed reply. I work for the ISP that supplied the modem, but we don't apply any sort of special firmware/customizations. We only apply the appropriate configuration for their service/account and ship it off to them.

 

Don't have the build/firmware version off hand, but I can DM you its serial number?
