Hi all.

I've just had some new sockets fitted to two bedrooms and prior to their installation I used powerline adapters in both for a better Internet connection. After the new sockets were installed, the adapters didn't work in any of the new sockets! 

Nothing else has changed, only the sockets. They remain on the same circuit as before and the adapters work in other rooms that I've tested. I've tried resetting the adapters, didn't work. When used in other rooms, they pair instantly. 

Has the electrician done something or is it the new sockets? The sockets aren't anything special, just standard double plug. 

Any thoughts would be welcome

Did the electrician give you something like an invoice or so that states the exact make and model of the double plug sockets?

We bought the sockets ourselves and were just what we pressumed were standard from B&Q. 
They were a set of black themed ones and a set of brushed chrome with white accents on the other. 
Nothing I would say are out of the ordinary. 
I've checked the specs of each on the website as we discarded the packaging and didn't mention anything unusual about the sockets that might suggest they have some kind of data blocker in them. 
Just really odd....

If they are just regular sockets without any fancy stuff, like built-in surge protection or USB charging ports, then I see no reason for Powerline being affected by them.
This is indeed really odd.
