Model: Archer VR1210v
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 0.2.0 2.0.0 v606e.0 Build 240929 Rel.42690n

Dear Support Team,

I am writing to report an issue with my Archer VR1210v v2.0 (Italian version).

Firmware:
0.2.0 2.0.0 v606e.0 Build 240929 Rel.42690n
found in this topic: https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/771814

Issue:
The router prevents the connected telephone from displaying the caller’s number.

I have noticed that this bug has been resolved in the UK version (link: https://www.tp-link.com/uk/support/download/archer-vr1210v/#Firmware) and in the Spanish version (link: https://www.tp-link.com/es/support/download/archer-vr1210v/#Firmware).

Could you please inform me if, and when, a patch will be released for the Italian firmware version?

Thank you for your attention.

Best regards,
Andrea

Hi@Andrea8080 ,

Is your latest firmware an automatic update? Did you reboot your modem after the update?

I noticed this firmware 0.2.0 2.0.0 v606e.0 Build 240929 Rel.42690n was released on December 29th.

Are Incoming calls still not displaying the Caller ID number?

If you need a faster reply, it is recommended that you contact local support.

Re:Issue with Caller ID on Archer VR1210v v2.0 Italian Firmware
Tuesday

Hi @Joseph-TP

Thank you for your reply.

My current firmware was downloaded from the following topic to resolve a previous issue:
https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/771814

The file creation date is October 16, 2024.

When I check the automatic update section on the router settings page, it reports that no new firmware is available.

Unfortunately, the issue with incoming calls not displaying the Caller ID number is still present.

Re:Issue with Caller ID on Archer VR1210v v2.0 Italian Firmware

  @Andrea8080

Thank you for your detailed report regarding the Caller ID issue on your Archer VR1210v v2.0 with Italian firmware. You've correctly identified a firmware-specific bug.

You are right that this issue has been resolved in the UK and Spanish firmware versions. The solution for the Italian version depends on TP-Link releasing an official update.

Here are your actionable steps:

  1. Check for Official Updates: Monitor the Italian firmware download page for your model on TP-Link's website for a new release.

  2. Contact Support Directly: Use the "Contact Support" section on the TP-Link Italy website to submit a formal ticket. Include your firmware version and links to the resolved UK/Spanish updates to highlight the discrepancy.

  3. Community Follow-Up: Consider politely replying to the forum topic you linked (Topic #771814) to ask the moderators or community manager if there is an ETA for the Italian fix, as this increases visibility.

Installing a firmware from a different region is not recommended, as it may cause compatibility issues with your ISP's settings. Awaiting the official Italian patch is the safest course of action.
