Deco E4R 5GHz Not Showing on Most Android Devices
I am using a TP-Link Deco E4R (dual-band) mesh system and facing an issue with the 5GHz network. At my home, only my iPhone connects to the 5GHz band, while most Android phones including flagship models like Samsung S24 and S25 connect only to 2.4GHz. Surprisingly, only one Android device (Realme 13 5G) connects to 5GHz properly.
Since Deco does not allow manual 5GHz channel selection, I suspect this could be related to channel or firmware behavior. The same Deco E4R model used by others does not show this issue.
Could you please guide me on what might be causing this problem and if there is any official solution or firmware-related fix?
Thank you for your support.

Hi,
If some of your Android devices can't find the Deco's Wi-Fi after turning off the 2.4 GHz band, but the iPhone can, it may be that some Android phones purchased in Pakistan support different 5 GHz Wi-Fi channels than the Deco E4 purchased from Australia. We don't have a firmware for the Deco E4 to change the Wi-Fi channel in this situation.
Generally, it's recommended to purchase Deco nodes from local stores to ensure they work properly with local devices.
Best Regards
