No IPv6 default gateway and DNS Server IP address
Hi
Singapore ISP StarHub has just provision a new broadband line into my house with TP-Link HB710.
I noticed that IPv4 works perfectly but not IPv6 on my android phone (S25 Ultra using the December 2025 firmware). All other android phone (Xiaomi, and other Samsung model also same result).
My S25 Ultra is able to received the IPv6 global address from HB710 but without IPv6 default gateway and IPv6 DNS server ip address but Windows 11 laptop works perfectly and is able to obtain the IPv6 default gateway and IPv6 DNS server ip address.
Please advise how to fix it for android phones for IPv6.
Thanks

Hi David
TP-Link support has contacted me and confirmed IPv6 connectivity failures on Android devices (like Samsung and Xiaomi) when accessing IPv6-only sites, while Apple and laptops succeed. A fix is required for HB710 firmware.

Hi, thank you very much for the feedback.
Is HB710 the only DHCP router in the Network?
How about its IPV6 configuration on the Aginet App or web admin UI, such as the "IPv6 Internet Connection Type", "IPv6 LAN Assigned Type"?
It is suggested to set "IPv6 LAN Assigned Type" as “SLAAC+RDNSS” to see whether it helps.
Wait for your reply.
Best regards.
