Model: Archer C1200
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version:

Router worked fine until few days ago. Had to power down.

After powering up, all lights are green, then only power light green, than nothing green... all in all a few seconds, and then nothing, no lights, no working...

Tried different outlet, tried without network cable in, the charger is the original tplink charger that came with the router.

There is electricity flowing, as the charger and a section of the router both feel warm (not hot!!, just enough to feel a difference, on the router aprox near the middle antenna).

Does someone relate, had to solve the same issue, any advice ?

Hello @JoVdw ,

Welcome to our community.

Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:

  • Use a different power adapter: If possible, test with another compatible TP-Link power adapter to rule out any issues with the charger.
  • Perform a hard reset: Use a pin to press and hold the reset button (usually found in a small hole on the router) for about 10 seconds, until all the lights come on momentarily. This can sometimes restore the router if it is stuck during startup.
  • Check the LED Control settings: If the router seems to work but the LEDs remain off, log into the router's web interface and check if the "LED Control" feature is enabled or disabled.

If none of these steps don't help, there may be a hardware fault that requires professional repair or replacement.

Please contact TP-Link support for further assistance.
