Hello @perisa ,

Thanks for getting back to me.

As you can see, even the PC(with 10G network card) is directly connected to the ONT, the speed is only 1.4Gbps.

We can reasonably suspect there is a speed limit on the ONT side. We suggest you first consult your ISP to check the LAN port speed on the ONT, or you can use other 10G clients/routers for comparative testing.

  @Joseph-TP

Thank you for the quick reply and suggestion.

This is quite challenging for the following reason. When I connect the ONT directly to my desktop PC, it negotiates a 10 Gbps link speed between the two devices.

However, as soon as I initiate the PPPoE session, I immediately see that the external connection is only to 1.4 Gbps.

This ONT has a confirmed 10G LAN port - for example, when I connect it to BE800 router's 10G port, they negotiate 10 Gbps between themselves.

Could you please advise on next steps? Perhaps checking PPPoE MTU settings or firmware optimizations for higher throughput?

Hi@perisa ,

Our testing department has not yet been able to reproduce your case.

Furthermore, your speed did not show a clear and significant change due to modifications to the Archer BE800. For example, firmware updates could cause a decrease in speed.

Even if the negotiation speed between the ONT and BE800 is full, we still need to confirm whether your PC (with a 10G network card) can handle the actual speed of 10 G.

Especially since you've already connected your PC directly to both the ONT and BE800, and the speeds are still unsatisfactory. Therefore, the speed limitation is likely caused by either the ONT or your PC (with NC).

You still need to pinpoint the cause, then we can determine if there are any feasible solutions to improve the speed.
