BE85 End of Life
In the UK the single pack of the Deco BE85 is listed as End of Life and it states 'Replace with Deco BE65'

Is this actually true?
I thought the BE85 and BE65 were significantly different products.
I was looking to purchase 3 x BE85, however if this product is now EoL then I would likely rethink that decision (ignoring the fact it's seemingly not possible to just purchase 3 units now)...

Hi, welcome to the community.
I think it is just that the 1-pack is EOL. Deco BE85(2-pack) is still available.
There is also an official store link on the local website, and you can check with the support for more details:https://uk.store.tapo.com/
Deco BE68 is also a good choice if you're looking for a 3-pack WiFi Deco Mesh system:

Thank you very much.
Best regards.

@David-TP Yet, security updates for BE85 are ending this coming September. I just bought two 2 packs of BE85 at a cost of €1900 and now the product will not be receiving security updates later this year!!! This indicates end of life for a product only a few years old is absolutely ridiculous at its price point.

Would be good to know if the security announcement on the Singapore help page affects all countries and regions or just Singapore @David-TP can you help answer this to give clarity.

please would someone at TP Link please confirm and clarify the issue regarding the end of life for the BE85. This Is a relatively new Deco model and to hear that it may stop receiving security updates is very disturbing.
I have an issue with my 3 BE85 units that are meshed together wired with Cat7 cable that teh internet speed suddenly drops. The TM Net engineer says something about my TP Link POE switches or the TP Link NVR is causing a short of some sort and when disconnected and the system restarted, the speed does recover to what i pay for.
Any help with the above?

Hi, welcome to the community.
For the speed issue on Deco BE85, could you please start a new thread here:
https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/edit/topic?moduleId=39
It would be highly appreciated if you could add a screenshot of the current network topology to display how the Deco units, as well as the NVR, are wired together in the Mesh network.
-By the way, can I have the model number of the POE switch?
" When disconnected and the system restarted, the speed does recover to what I pay for."
-Did you disconnect the NVR from the POE switch?
-After disconnecting the NVR and restarting the Deco mesh system, did the speed loss happen again?
Wait for your reply.
Best regards.

@David-TP Well, can you please explain why an expensive 3 year old mesh premium system will be obsolete in September 2026???

@Beefy80 I doubt it is region specific. Why would it be for one region and not worldwide?

Hi, it is region-specific(SG only). The local web support team will help update the FAQ content to make it clear and precise.
Thank you very much.
