Hello all,

I have just purchased BE65 x 2 and installed it yesterday as access point. I have some questions:

1- I was using my router wifi before deco and it has only one wifi network. If client supports MLO, it was connecting MLO but if it does not support MLO, it was connecting with normal network. But there was one SSID. In deco, there are two SSID. normal network and normal network_MLO. Is there any way to have only one SSID?

2-My previous router wifi was using also 2.4 ghz in MLO. But I see that Deco is not using 2.4 Ghz in MLO. It only uses 5 and 6 ghz. What is the reason of this?

3- I connected my iPhone 17 pro max to MLO network and tested via speed test. It gave me 455 Mbps download and 107 Mbps upload. Then I connected normal 5 ghz network and test results became 887 Mbps download and 147 Mbps upload. How can MLO is slower than normal network?

Thanks.

Hi, welcome to the community.

You can install the 1.2.10 here, and it should support a united SSID for Main and MLO networks.

Deco BE65/BE65 Pro_1.2.10 New Firmware with Enhanced Stability & Interference Resistance

But I think one United SSID might not help the 3rd issue.

The initial design for the MLO network is to increase throughput, reduce latency, and improve reliability. Merging 2.4Ghz band might not help with this vision.

As for the network speed of the iPhone 17 Pro Max, have you tested which band it is connected to over the MLO network? (You should be able to view the connected band on the Deco App)

It is also recommended to test the speed when the iPhone 17 PM is connected to the individual 6GHz Network.

Thank you very much.

Best regards.
