slow wifi speed with mesh BE25
Hi everyone,
I have a problem with wifi speed from Mesh Deco BE25. Thus, I create this thread to hope that someone can help
I do business in apartment for rent from Asia, and I want to create a mesh network so that my tenants can connect their devices everywhere inside the building.
My building has 8 floors with 2 SSID wifi network (wired backhaul - bandwidth limit setup)
- 1st SSID From 2nd to 6th floor: for all tenants (35 devices - mobile/laptop)
4 pairs of BE25 set up along hallway - all wired backhaul. Main node is located in 4th floor.
The problem is wifi speed being slower when going upper floor: loading youtube slower, loading image in website slower while wifi signal is still strong.
- 2nd SSID From 7th to 8th floor: for company use (12 devices - mobile/laptop)
Main node BE25 with 3 Deco M5 set up along hallway - all wired backhaul - all US version. Main node BE25 is located in 7th floor.
No problem with wifi speed.
My guess is BE25 peformance. I have to turn on Wireless mode High capacity (only 2.4 Ghz) but the speed is still slow down

For the network SSID#1, did you also use a network switch for Ethernet Backhaul?
If you check on the Deco APP, are the satellite Deco BE25s always on the Ethernet Backhaul:

Deco BE25_1.1.3 supports Connection Preference. It is also recommended to set the Preferred Band to 5GHz to see whether it helps.
