TP-Link GE400 connection to an ASUS Modem
So I was wondering if I was doing anything wrong with setting up my router. I wanted to use it not for the internet, but to just turn it into an access point/node to connect to my computer. Although, I connected the router to my ASUS modem via WAN ethernet cable, it still shows no connection. I've seen multiple tutorials about plugging in the WAN connection and hardware resetting the router while plugged in and restarting the set up, but it's no use. I mean it does show the internet connection in my Wi-Fi settings, but I'm not here for it's own TP-Link connection. I can't set it up properly and I want to make it so I can make it an access point from my main modem so I can move it into a different room where my main computer is. I'm definitely up to some sort of call where we can communicate virtually and I can show you. Open to all kinds of help!
