Model: Archer C2300
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: Archer C2300(US)_V1_2.2.1 Build 20250925

The Tether app does not support setting the WIFI channel mode and width in Archer C2300.

This will be extremely helpful to set the mode, channel, and width. This will be specifically helpful when the 5GHz becomes unusable when the router is stuck in DFS (Dynamic Frequency selection) mode after enabling Smart Connect, and it does not come out of it even after Smart Connect is disabled and performing factory reset.

Hi,

I am surprised to hear the Archer C2300 V1 supports DFS channels. Was that added in a firmware update?

No, it does not support DFS channels. There is no WIFI signal from the router. The problem seems to have started after enabling Smart Connect.

The issue persisted after disabling Smart Connect and performing multiple router restarts, and performed factory reset.

Also, I am seeing the message in the WIFI configuration screen, "5Ghz band is restricted in your country", and the option to change 5Ghz settings(channel;, mode, width) is greyed out.  From what i get from chatGPT is that the router may have been stuck in the DFS mode and is unable to come out of it. so posted if there is possibility to change WIFI settings from Tether APP.

Oh, now I see.

This particular problem has been coming up here in the forum every once in a while, for the C2300 as well as some other models. (e.g. https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/181012)

However, I have never seen a post that provided a fix for it. Usually the recommendation was to contact TP-Link's support in your country and ask for a replacement if the router is still covered under warranty. (usually 3 years from purchase in most countries)
