Model: Archer AX53
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

Parental Control profiles are constantly disappearing from the Tether app. When attempting to create a new one, it displays the error "Unable to create profile. Please try again later."
It also frequently fails to update settings when attempting to add a time slot for a specific profile. Restarting the router used to resolve the issue, but over the past week, reinstalling the app and restarting the router hasn't helped.

I also frequently see an error when attempting to use Parental Controls, where the app doesn't recognize the owner's device and asks the user to contact the owner for additional permissions.

Hello @Aulika ,

Welcome to our community.

May I know the hardware and firmware versions of your router?  Please refer to How to find the hardware and firmware version of my TP-Link device

Have you tried a different phone to use the Tether App and test if parental control can work?

Please confirm that your router is up to date. https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/download/archer-ax53/v1/#Firmware

If the app does not recognize the owner's device or requests additional permissions, ensure you are logged in with the correct TP-Link ID (the owner's account) and that the app has the necessary permissions on your phone.

Please restart the router and reinstall the app. If it no longer helps, consider performing a factory reset on the router as a last resort. Please back up your settings before doing this.
