Hi,
Just baught 3 x60, and I wanted to connectd them with backhual.
I have a 1 floor home, and a central location where I have the modem and router er605 if it make any differnce. from ath location I have an ethernet cable to each room.
I taught it would be possible to just conenct all 3 decos directly to the er605 and they will form a mesh, but now I see that I have to chain them with ethernet cable otherwise they just keep connecting wirelessly to the main unit?

So my questions are
1. Can I connect all 3 of them directly to the ER605 and they form a mesh?
2. Assuming I can't chain all of them from one to another, they only have 2 ports each, What would happen if I add a switch next to the router, connect the router to the main unit and have the main unit output connect to the switch, then connect the other 2 units to the switch that will create a mesh?

Thanks in advance

Hi, You can connect all three Deco X60s directly via cables to the ER605, but you need to set Deco into "Access Point" mode under Deco App>More>Advanced>Operation Mode.

For more details about Ethernet Backhaul, please refer to General questions about Ethernet Backhaul feature on your Deco

Thank you very much.

Best regards.
