Ive just got this router so I can play on NA servers on my Xbox. Every thing works fine apart from the game chat.
I can be in a xbox party chat and talk and hear just fine but when I go into the actual game chat I've got no voice sound at all.
My NAT type is open and my ISP is set to modem mode. I'm with virgin media (UK) if that's helpful.
I'm a big noob with this stuff so any help would be appreciated

May I ask what exactly you mean by "I've just got this router so I can play on NA servers on my Xbox"? Are you using the router's built-in VPN client to establish a VPN tunnel from the UK to North America?
It also might be helpful if you mentioned the model name of your router.
@woozle that's what I'm doing yeah. But even if I turn the VPN off it still won't allow me to use the in game chat

If I google "xbox game chat doesn't work" I get quite a lot of results for the problem you describe, leading me to believe this is not something that is related to one particular Wi-Fi router.
Can you perhaps try some of the suggestions that can be found via a Google search? The first thing I would try is to do a "Restart console" from the Xbox's menu, if you haven't already done so.
