Hi

I'd like to set up wifi using a dongle on my WD PR2100 NAS.

Are there any wifi dongles compatible with Western Digital's OS5 (I believe Linux Debian)?

Many thanks for any pointers!

Niki

Hello @NikiM ,

Welcome to our community.

It is not recommended to use TP-Link wireless adapters on NAS or other non-computer systems to establish a Wi-Fi connection. The official drivers are designed specifically for computer operating systems, and drivers compatible with other network devices like NAS systems are not currently available.

While OS5 is Linux-based, the issue isn't just about Linux compatibility • it's that TP-Link wireless adapters are designed to work with standard computer operating systems rather than specialized network device operating systems like those found on NAS units.

Best Regards.
