Model: Archer C64
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

I just bought a new Wi-Fi router Archer C64.

When I connect Ethernet cable to a new Archer C64 router (I don't have modem) it just shows red light for internet. I know my Ethernet cable works, because on my old router it works with no problem. I can see the name of new Wi-Fi on my phone and laptop, but when I try to connect it it says no internet. I tried power off and on, factory restore, but it is the same, red light is still on. So I'm not sure what is the problem.

Hello @David321 ,

Welcome to our community.

For your case, here are some suggestions that may help:

1. Reboot the router: Power off the router, wait for 10 seconds, then power it back on and wait for it to fully start up.
2. Change DNS servers: Log in to the router's web management interface by visiting http://tplinkwifi.net in your browser. Navigate to Advanced > Network > Internet > Advanced Settings, and change the DNS servers to 1.1.1.1 and 8.8.8.8.
3. Clone MAC address: If your old router can access the Internet when connected directly to the ISP's Ethernet cable, but the router still cannot, you may need to clone your old router's MAC address. Log in to the router's web interface and go to Advanced > Network > Internet > MAC Clone. For detailed instructions, you can refer to this FAQ: How do I configure MAC Address Clone on my TP-Link Archer Router?
