Hi

 

I have a problem with my Deco mesh system. It is working okay but it will not let me connect a new device to them.

 

When I scan for the WIFI the new device will see the network and says its available. But when I connect to to and put the password in it will not connect. I have reset the password, re booted the system, done a hard reset on them, Updated the system & I have set up a new Guest Network. But it will still not let the new device connect. 

 

I know its not the device as I have connected it to my Talk-Talk router and connected it to a hot spot network on my phone with no problems. 

 

Has anyone had this before?

Hi, welcome to the community.

-Does it refer to a specific new mobile device?

-If you "forget Deco WiFi network" on the mobile phone, will it be able to reconnect to Deco after inputting the password?

 

Did you set Deco M4 into "Access point" mode?

And would there be any error message when the new device failed to connect to WiFi?

Hi David

 

My system is set as WIFI Router (Default) I have had the system about 3 years now and it has always been set to that. 

 

There is no error message when trying to connect and its not just a new device its anything new. Even if I was to forget the WIFI on a device that has been on the system in the past will not connect.

 

We have a set of 3 Deco's around the house with full signal. When I try to connect to one it see's the WIFI and ask's for the password but after the password is put in nothing happens. When I go out of it and back in it same the WIFI is saved but when you click on it to connect it ask's for the password again. But its the same you put the password in and it does nothing.

 

It did done something like this last year and the only way I could find to sort it out was to delete the network and start all over again. But that was a pain as I had to re-add everything all over again.
