Hard Wired DECO S4 - Wifi speeds?

Hi all and wondered if anyone can help?

I recently got a full fibre upgrade (910mbps) from EE and have a couple of Deco S4 around the house. I managed to get these hard wired straight to the EE router and use them as access points at different locations in the house (ground floor & 1st floor). I'm getting around 300-400mbps when speed tested but was expecting this to be higher, if not doubled. Am I doing or looking at this the wrong way and should be pleased with this? I can't seem to find anything on line to improve the wifi performance and thought I'd ask if anyone is getting higher wifi speeds based on what I'm doing.

Any pointers or help would be appreciated.

Thanks

HI, welcome to the community.

Have you checked the wireless connection speed on the mobile devices, such as:

How to check the associated/link speed on a wireless client

For Deco S4, its wireless specification is:
5 GHz: 867 Mbps (802.11ac)
2.4 GHz: 300 Mbps (802.11n)

With the link speed of 867mbps over 5Ghz, a network speed between 300-400mbps is not bad.

For the overall 910mbps, a WiFi 6 Mesh system, such as Deco X60/X90, might be better. If there are 6GHz clients, Deco XE75 is also a good choice:

Thank you very much.

Best regards.
