Kidshiel Always allow App not workingg
Hello,
I’m trying to allow apps outside of the restricted hours on KidShield, but without success.
This is causing me a major safety concern, as my children can’t track their bus’s progress or contact me via WhatsApp if the bus doesn’t turn up.
I’ve tried on two different phones, without success.
The KidShield app is version 1.1.21

Have you set other settings at the same time, such as bedtime? If so, please check for any conflicting settings.

I really do think this is a bug, as everything else works perfectly (locking the phone, unlocking it, adding or removing time limits, blocking an app, etc., and everything is updated in real time). But in this case, no matter how many times I set an app to be permanently unlocked, if I’ve exceeded the authorised phone usage time, I cannot launch these apps even though I have set them to be permanently unblocked (and yet, as I am in a testing phase before rolling out the solution for my children, I have not enabled the ‘bedtime’ or ‘offtime’ features).
I thought it was down to the apps themselves, but that’s not the case, because even with apps like Samsung SmartSwitch or Google Gmail, if I lock them permanently, they stay locked, but if I try to unlock them permanently, it still tells me I’ve run out of screen time.
I even tried switching the app to English, as, having worked in IT support for major software publishers, I know that languages other than English can sometimes cause issues, particularly due to accents.
