MESH issues --- Router TP (BE3600) & Deco 3x X50
Hi,
I do have a general problem understanding the Mesh function of my router. :(
My BE3600 already has a option MESH.
All is connected to Starlink antenna (working in Bridge mode) -
So far all good.
Now I wanted to extend the Network by three DECO X50.
But those devices (for the moment just one is connected) seems to not be able to share/extend the Mesh from the router.
It seems the X50 has to be connected via LAN cable to BE3600. But this is not what I wanted and does not make sense in my opinion ...
So either I have a general problem in understanding or my configuration does not allow it due to some specific settings?
Thx for any inputs/help
Robert

Sorry for the late reply. Your Archer BE3600 supports EasyMesh while the Deco X50 supports Deco Mesh. You can't join the two different types of mesh to create one mesh network.
The following was taken from the this link.
Summary
Though Deco Mesh, EasyMesh, OneMesh™, and Omada Mesh all support Mesh networking, they are different Mesh technologies. Deco Mesh, Omada Mesh, and EasyMesh or OneMesh™ are supported by different TP-Link products, so they cannot build a Mesh network together. For EasyMesh-compatible products from TP-Link, they can combine with EasyMesh routers, range extenders, or Powerline WiFi adapters from TP-Link or other vendors and are also capable of forming whole home Mesh WiFi with OneMesh products. Please choose one of the Mesh products based on your actual needs and start building a seamless network for your office or home today.

@Robert_Han A TP-Link Deco X50 can absolutely extend a mesh wirelessly, but only within a Deco mesh system. It won’t wirelessly “join” or extend a standalone router like your TP-Link BE3600 unless that router is also acting as part of a Deco mesh.

Hi,
thx for your reply.
So is there any recommendation from your side to use:
- Starlink Mini 200Mbit/s
- approx 450 square meters house to cover + 600 squarem. garden
- be compatible with upcoming technology
- fair price
I do need a router + mesh
Thx for any feedback

Hi, welcome to the community.
If you wish to continue using the Archer BE3600 and 3*Deco X50, you can connect one Deco X50 to the LAN port of the Archer BE3600, follow the configuration guide in the Deco app to complete the setup, and then add other Deco X50 units in the Deco app. Afterward, it is recommended to configure the Deco X50 in AP mode, then move the satellite Deco units to different locations and check if this topology meets your needs.
If you would like recommendations for other products that can form a mesh network with the Archer BE3600, it's recommended to start a new thread here to post your requirements for assistance.
Best Regards
