Firmware upgrade for WA850RE v2.0 seems outdated
Hi
I have a WA850RE v2.0 repeater for a long time and had stopped using it since my ISP person said that this repeater is not good when used wirelessly (don't know the exact reason for his observation).
Anyway, now I have got a lan cable installed from the main router to the repeater and connected the same, but the connection is patchy and keeps on breaking down.
When I called tp link helpline, they said that I need to configure the repeater in access point mode, but when I login to the repeater page, there is no option to change access point (it's supposed to be on the top right corner)
They asked me to update the firmware, which I downloaded from the TP link website
But the firmware version that I can download is 1.0.0 build 20151224 rel. 34956
I have uploaded this firmware and reset the repeater twice, but still no access point change option appears
Google search revealed that the TP link community says that there is a newer version available
Latest Firmware V2: 1.0.0 Build 20220615 Rel. 52081.
But can't see that on the TP link website.
How do I get the latest firmware, in this scenario.
Though, not sure if the latest firmware will solve my problem of getting the repeater to act as an access point - any help regarding this would be much appreciated.
P.S. I don't have a laptop which can connect to the repeater with a lan cable. Am doing everything wirelessly.
