The Deco M5 router has a built in speed test. This option wasn't built into the Deco X50. Please refer to Part #2 in the following FAQ

Thanks

Re:Speedtest
Saturday

I have the the Deco X50-5G V2, and according to that list it should have Speedtest built in.

I can't find it in the Deco-app, but hopefully in the future they will include it in some update. When I previously used the Acher MR600, this was included in the Thether app, and I must say I miss it. It's very convenient to remotely check the status/speed of the internet connection.

That's an ongoing issues for the deco routers I'm afraid where the hardware will support a feature but the firmware hasn't been updated yet so it's a waiting game till they get around to add it.

I bought my XE75 Pro in 2023 and from the day I owned it the hardware supported automatic updates but the firmware wasn't updated to support it till this February. As i do not work for tp-link i can provide no ETA on when the firmware will support the built in speed test.

Hi,
We don't have the information on when the requested feature will be available on the Deco X50-5G. However, I'll log the feature request and forward it to the relevant team for evaluation. It's recommended to keep your Deco up to date and pay attention to the release notes for the new firmware to see which features are added.

Do you have internet when connected to the Archer MR600? If so, you can log in to the web UI of the Archer MR600, go to Basic > TP-Link Cloud, enter your TP-Link account (the one used to log in to the Tether app), and click Log In. Then, the router will be bound to your TP-Link account, and you can control it remotely in the Tether app.

Best Regards
