AX55 Ver 4.0 - Easy mesh option not available
I own 3 tp-link AX55 routers.
2 are Archer AX55 v1.0
The third one which I bought 3 weeks ago is v. 4.0
Firmware version of v1.0 is
1.5.11 Build 20251119 rel.49503(5553)
Firmware version of v4.0 is
So both are fully updated to the latest version.
v4.0 feels downgrade vs v1.0 - it lacks many options such as easymesh and eco mode. I don't see option to connect ot to other 2 AX55s with easymesh. I wonder why. I thought later (v4) version would at least provide same functionality as the previous version of the same AX55 routers

AX55 should support Easymesh from HW v1 and above.
Have you tried to use the WPS method and add it to your already existing mesh.

Hi thank you for the reply
No it doesn't work.
I wonder if I can manually flush latest v1 firmware if the hardware is same it should work no? I will also capture video showing how much less sophisticated v4 menu is compared to v1. V4 lacks many features on the current latest firmware. I wish I had bought v1 again but probably v1 is no longer manuf

It sounds very unusual to remove the Easymesh feature in a new HW version.
You won't be able to use a FW for HW v1 to update a different HW version. Most probably you'll get an error message during the update process.
Are you sure that AX55 v4 is in wireless router mode (check operation mode menu) ? You can post some screenshots here.

It's visible that your AX55 is in AP mode:

Switch to router mode (above settings) and you should be able to use the Easymesh feature.
I would use the router's WebGUI for configuring the AX55 - it's easier to work with for me:

Easymesh is not available in router mode as well.
Also for V1 easymesh is available for AP mode so there is no reason why easymesh shouldn't not be available for v4 in AP mode. It's just V4 uses downgraded less feature rich firmware and I wonder if there is any way I can use V1 firmware on V4 so that i can get all the features of v1 on my v4 of the same exact router. If the routers have different features they should be sold under different names not to mislead customers. But both are AX55 so I expected v4 to get all the features and settings I got with v1. I will probably return it and get a different router.

I would contact the local support for more information on your issue, before returning the router. It would be quite unusual to remove the Easymesh in HW v4.
