AX55 router connected to old owners tp link id
I bought this router a few months back in december 30th secondhand from someone else, I wanted to give it a try to connect it to my id and I now noticed that I cannot do that. The reason is that it says its still connected with the old owners id. I have proof of purchase of the router from the user. Is there any way to disconnect it from the old id? I factory resetted it multiple times.

Hello @JarlNiel ,
If a hard reset doesn’t work, please take a photo showing the MAC address of your router and proof of purchase. Then email support.forum@tp-link.com, attaching [Forum ID 863522] and details, and we will have a dedicated person to assist in analysis and follow-up.

Hi,
TP-Link support can probably assist you with this, but in case you are still able to contact the previous owner and don't want to wait for TP-Link, then ask him to log into the Tether app (reinstall, if needed) with the e-mail and password he used back then and "Unbind" the Archer AX55 from his TP-Link ID. (the "Unbind" option can be accessed by tapping on the (i) to the right of the entry for the device)

Hello, I'm new to this forum and I'm having the same problem. I bought an AX6000 router, and when I try to log in with my TP-LINK ID, it tells me I'm not the router's administrator. I'd like to know if TP-LINK's technical support team can unlink my router from the previous owner's TP-LINK ID. I have the purchase receipt proving I'm the owner and my router's MAC address.
