tp-link uitility information
would be more impressed if the TP-Link utility allowed
a) copy firmware version
b) displayed Powerline Key of connected devices
I've got four; one doesn't appear to be working but the default settings don't tell me which three (of the 4) are connected, other than default names - which have now been reset as I had to download and re-install the utility to make it work again ... having followed advice to try using Old utitlity, which did not work at all ... <sigh>
hey ho.
I now seem to have a dead Poweline adapter but cannot really see what is wrong with it. It attempts to pair but then has no lights at all.

Hello @JohnofYork ,
Welcome to our community.
For the adapter that attempts to pair but then ends up with no lights, please try the following steps in order:
1. Plug it directly into a wall outlet on the same electrical circuit as your other adapters. Avoid using power strips, surge protectors, or extension cords, as these block the powerline signal. Also confirm all four adapters are on the same home wiring circuit.
2. Reset the adapter and re-pair it. You can find the reset guide here: How to Reset the Powerline Adapter to Factory Default
3. Use the tpPLC Utility to manually pair the devices, following this guide: How to add a device to the network using tpPLC Utility — this may also help you identify which devices are connected and rename them so you can tell them apart.
4. Check that the adapter is running the latest firmware, as updates can resolve known pairing issues. Firmware upgrade guidance is here: How to upgrade firmware of TP-Link Powerline Adapter
