2017 MacBook Pro losing wifi signal with new StarHub TP-Link HB710 router
2017 MacBook Pro losing wifi signal with new StarHub TP-Link HB710 router
StarHub recently upgraded my home broadband with a 5GB plan, and 2 HB710 (one main router and one mesh), I have separated the 2.4Ghz, 5Ghz and 6Ghz networks, Band Steering off, MLO off, we use only the 5Ghz netwrok.
All devices in the house (iphones, iPads, laptops, desktops on wifi5 or wifi 6 cards) work fine except 2 MacBook Pro from 2017 which are constantly losing the wifi signal after 5 to 10 min. I have tried different combination of the Wifi parameters in the TP-Link app:
- default: (Channel Auto, Channel width Auto, security WPA2/WPA3)
- Channel 44 only
- security to WPA2
but the 2 macbook still disconnect constantly.
Would appreciate some help here!
Thanks
Xavier

Hi,
When my MacBook has no internet connection, yes it's always connected to the closest HB710.
If I disconnect and reconnect Wi-Fi on my MacBook, yes it has an internet connection again.
Thanks for your help

Hi,
If you can change the HB710's 5 GHz Wi-Fi channel to one between 149 and 161, please give it a try.
Btw, what's your MacBook's OS version?
Best Regards
