Model: Archer BE400
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.3 Build 20260107 rel.48335(5553)

Is anyone else having major QoS issues with the newer TP-Link devices? Last year I bought a BE230 and returned it solely because the QoS was completely broken. I just replaced my essential Archer C6 with a BE400, hoping the issue was sorted by now, but I was wrong.

Before turning on QoS, my loaded latency on Waveform and Speedtest is around 50ms (which proves I have some bufferbloat). But when I turn QoS ON, the loaded latency shoots up to 200-300ms. The feature is doing the exact opposite of what it is supposed to do.

I'm on the latest firmware. I noticed a custom firmware was posted on this forum to fix the QoS on the BE230, but there's nothing available for the BE400. Does TP-Link have a fix in the works for this model? also my router is connected directly to the modem which is also of tplink it's the g3 v1

Hello @aniplox ,

Welcome to our community.

May I confirm if the model of your modem is XZ000-G3?

When did you buy the BE400? Did this anomaly begin after the firmware update? Because we haven't received similar feedback yet.

Please test the actual speed and provide screenshots of the speed test results with QoS enabled and disabled.

Thank you.

Yesterday

@Joseph-TP My be400 is not even a week old ig,and yes I am using the XZ000-G3 with be400. With archer c6 it did not have any issues with the qos. I am attaching the screenshots of before enabling qos and after enabling qos.

I am using ethernet cable (cat 6 ) for these tests.
