Hello  @etet ,

Welcome to our community.

To enable Remote Management on your DSL Modem Router, please follow these steps:

1. Log into the web-based interface via http://tplinkmodem.net
2. Go to Advanced > System Tools > Administration
3. Under the Remote Management section, enable Remote Management via HTTPS
4. Then choose one of the following options:
   • Select "All" to allow all remote devices to manage the modem router.
   • Select "Only the Following IP/MAC Address" and enter the IP/MAC address of the specific remote device you want to allow to manage the modem router.

Once done, save your settings and remote access should be enabled.

Error 4622 on TP-Link routers indicates a port conflict . You receive the message, "This port conflicts with an existing virtual server," usually when setting up a Port Forwarding or a Remote Management, because the port you are trying to assign is already reserved for the router's local web access or UPnP.

How to Fix the Conflict:
  1. Change the Remote Management Port:
    • Log into your TP-Link web interface and navigate to Advanced > System Tools > Administration (or System > Administration).
    • If Remote Management is enabled, check the port it is using (often Port 80 or 443). Change this port to something else (e.g., \(8080\) or \(8443\)) and save.
  1. Check for UPnP Conflicts:
    • Go to Advanced > Forwarding > UPnP and disable it temporarily. UPnP automatically opens ports, which can silently overlap with your manual configurations.
Modify Virtual Server / Port Forwarding Rules:
    • If you are trying to forward port 80 (HTTP) to a local server and get an error, it's likely conflicting with the router's internal web server.
    • You must either change the internal port on your server/device to something custom (like port \(8080\)) or adjust the port forwarding rule on the router to redirect an external port to your internal server's port.
