@Joseph-TP hi, no, that's more technical than my level of understanding or use of the tp device! I'm just using the modem / router at home for my computer and to plug a phone into and will use Phonely as my phone service provider. I don't want or need a dect signal to come out of the modem / router. How do I disable it and can I do it independently of the WiFi signal. Thanks.

If you don't want to use a DECT phone just don't plug that in your ADSL splitter.
If the modem model you are referring to is VR2100v and you won't use a physical device like a DECT phone just don't use the back RJ-11 ports (Phone1, Phone 2).
- For Residential Users: Phonely utilizes their own dedicated mobile application called the Phonely Call App (available on both iOS and Android). For home phones, they utilize plug-and-play digital voice adapters.
- For Business and AI: Phonely’s business and AI phone services utilize their proprietary Phonely AI platform, which powers built-in AI agents, workflow automation, and custom call workflows
In fact if you're not using a DSL service from your ISP and don't need a DECT phone, you can get a normal wireless router for the purpose.

Hi, my level of knowledge still leaves me unclear if my question is answered. Craving the indulgence of this forum until I feel clear!
I'm aware I won't need a dect signal for my Phonely contract. I'm choosing the t p 2100 rather than a model that doesn't have a dect facility, simply because it has a physical button on the side to turn WiFi on and off at will, rather than going into the control panel.
I actively don't want a dect signal coming out of the t p 2100. So I need to know if I need to turn the dect facility off, and if so how. With an e e or other hub there is no facility to do this, whether or not a phone is used. I've looked at the online manual and am not tech savvy enough to work it out from there. It is a 2100 not a 2100v, just bought a used one on Ebay. Hope that helps.

If you bought VR2100 then just use it as it is without any concerns - it dosn't have a DECT facility, so you don't have to turn off anything like that.

@terziyski ah! That explains it! Understood! So another question. Some friends of mine (or me in the future) will want to do the same and may buy a new 2100v. Do you have to deactivate the dect on that, or just not use certain ports? Thanks.
