Hi there

I configured my old tp-link MR200 as an extender some 3 years ago.
Now I switched from phone line internet to optic cable so I had to buy a new modem and I want to reconfigure the extender - point it to the new modem.

Last time, (3 years ago),  I simply connected a computer to the MR200 by a cable, I typed the default gateway (192.168.0.1) as a URL in my browser and got connected to the configuration pages.

This time however when I connect the cable and I run ipconfig I see the default gateway in ipv6 format - sort of fe80::7e8b:xxxx:yyyy:beeb%8 and I am unable to use it as a URL.
I can successfully ping fe80::7e8b:xxxx:yyyy:beeb%8  from the black cmd window.

But whatever browser I use it tries to search the string rather than to connect to it.
I tried to preceed it with http;//  put another slash behind or even something like /webpages/index.html , put it to square brackets [ ] , replace the % sign with  %25 , and add some random ports like :8080 .

No success.

Only when I put it to square brackets and I strip away the %8 it seems trying to communicate with the extender and then it gives the error "This web is not available".
All other attempts lead to a search engine trying to fearch for that ipv6 address.

How can I reach the configuration page again?

Thanks for any hints

  @azach
"When everything fails, try reading the manual."
Archer MR200 User Guide, Chapter 3 and 4.1 says:    connect to      http://tplinkmodem.net    or    http://192.168.1.1 .

Explanation: your modem should recognize the tplinkmodem.net domain even without internet access.
