How many networks / SSIDs can a router support
I am considering replacing my router to put the IOT devices on to their own network.
The router need to support a DECT landline phone.
Vodafone is our ISP.
Which routers can provide DECT landline and three networks ( main, IOT and guest)?

Hello All
It has been confirmed that the Archer VR2800 does not support the IoT Network either.
@MrSimon
You might actually want to consider a standard Wi-Fi router if your internet connection comes via an Ethernet port.

@SmilerIan Which routers support DECT landline phones and allow separate main, IoT, and guest networks with Vodafone ISP compatibility?

@MrSimon the external connection uses an Ethernet cable but plugs into a dedicated socket on the router. Believe it is a DSL line so don't think I can use a standard WIFI router. If you know differently please let me know along with, if possible, a router you could recommend.
Wouid like it to support main, guest and IOT SSIDs pkus DECT phone.
My gut feeling is best to just add a WiFi extender from Vodafone for £3 a month.
Cheers,
Ian

You can easily distinguish between the DSL port, which is RJ-11 (same as for DECT phones) and an ethernet port, which is RJ-45 for an ethernet connection:

The RJ-11 is narrow and it has 4 pins, while the RJ45 is wider and it has 8 pins.

@terziyski thanks for the info. It is an Ethernet connector than goes into a WAN port on the Vodafone router.
So is there a TP Link router I can replace it with that would offer 3 SSIDs (main, IOT and guest) and support the DECT phone using our phone number?
Cheers,
Ian

Many TP-Link routers support the SSIDs you mentioned as a requirement.
But to narrow down the possible substitutes for HW, you have to answer the following questions:
1. Who's your ISP ?
2. What service do you've subscribed to ?
3.What's the make and model of your ISP router at the moment?
3. Does your ISP offer a VoIP service ?
In general, you can use any VoIP service provider, i.e. connect an ATA device to a wireless router and then connect a DECT phone to the ATA device's FXS port.
An example of an ATA device could be the Grandstream HT801:

Please see the answers below
1. Who's your ISP ?
Vodafone in the UK
2. What service do you've subscribed to ?
Full Fibre 500 - the standard package
Landline - the standard version with no airtime plan added
3.What's the make and model of your ISP router at the moment?
Vodafone Power Hub - firmware version 22.1.0404-6421066
4. Does your ISP offer a VoIP service ?
The router has two RJ-11 sockets labelled TEL 1 and 2 into which we have our DECT landline phone plugged in. The phone (answerphone) is quite old but works perfectly, it uses the adaptor shown to plugin into the RJ-11 socket.

From what you've described, I would assume that you might use a third-party wireless router of your choice.
Most modern models from the AX and BE series support IoT and Guest networks.
The wireless router has to be connected to an ATA device like Grandstream HT801, so you can plug your DECT phone into.
The important part here, is to contact Vodafone and ask them if you use these two devices.
Ask them if they help you to configure their settings (the VoIP VLAN for the wireless router and the VoIP settings for the ATA device).
