I am considering replacing my router to put the IOT devices on to their own network.

The router need to support a DECT landline phone.

Vodafone is our ISP.

Which routers can provide DECT landline and three networks ( main, IOT and guest)?

Hello All

 @terziyski  & @MrSimon

It has been confirmed that the Archer VR2800 does not support the IoT Network either.

@MrSimon
You might actually want to consider a standard Wi-Fi router if your internet connection comes via an Ethernet port.

  @SmilerIan Which routers support DECT landline phones and allow separate main, IoT, and guest networks with Vodafone ISP compatibility?

These are the modem routers that support a DECT phone. From all these three, I believe only VR2800 has an IoT network implemented.

If it doesn't, you can always use an ATA device to which you can connect your DECT phone and use any other router that has these SSIDs.

@MrSimon the external connection uses an Ethernet cable but plugs into a dedicated socket on the router. Believe it is a DSL line so don't think I can use a standard WIFI router. If you know differently please let me know along with, if possible, a router you could recommend.

Wouid like it to support main, guest and IOT SSIDs pkus DECT phone.

My gut feeling is best to just add a WiFi extender from Vodafone for £3 a month.

Cheers,

Ian

You can easily distinguish between the DSL port, which is RJ-11 (same as for DECT phones) and an ethernet port, which is RJ-45 for an ethernet connection:

The RJ-11 is narrow and it has 4 pins, while the RJ45 is wider and it has 8 pins.
