Model: Archer AXE5400
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: latest.

I have starlink in bypassmode, and so far this router tp link  has been solid.

I did try to use ipv6 set up in bypassmode (ipv6 bridge) and my Xbox would not connect to certain games anymore, not sure why?

Leaving ipv6 set up on auto seems fine and works well with most  games apart from the game  (battlefield). I would like to make sure my ipv6 is set up correctly?

So far ipv6 works on xbox and pc, apart from android where I don't get ipv6 connection for some reason on my android phone.

As one game doesn't work very well and I have to keep port forwarding an ipv6 port (3074) so the game works without disconnection because each time starlink reboots my ipv6  address changes so have to redo the portforward, if ipv6 is enabled shouldn't it sort that for me so i don't have to keep portforwarding?

Could someone technical assist me setting tp link router up to work properly with ipv6 please?

below are my ipv6 config

Seems like they need to put out a new firmware to fix the issue!

Look at your router bottom sticker. There should be written the FW region, HW version and the router mode - details.

Post them here as well as your current FW release version.

Hello @Links1 ,

IPv6 does not automatically eliminate the need for port forwarding or solve the issue of changing addresses. Unfortunately, without a static IPv6 prefix from your ISP (Starlink), the address will continue to change on reboot, requiring you to update your port forwarding rules each time. This is a limitation of your ISP's IPv6 prefix delegation, not the router.

If Battlefield specifically has connectivity issues while other games work fine, it may be related to how that game handles IPv6 traffic. A few things to try:
• Make sure no VPN or proxy is active on your gaming device.
• Check if the Antivirus or Real-Time Protection feature on your router is blocking any traffic — go to the relevant section in your router's interface and review the history.
• Try changing the DNS server: open the Tether app, go to MORE > Internet Connection, and set the DNS to 1.1.1.1 or 8.8.8.8. After updating, reconnect your device to apply the new DNS settings.

• Change the IPv6 LAN to SLAAC+RDNSS for a try.

Regarding Android Not Receiving IPv6, this could be related to Android's IPv6 handling or a device-specific setting. As a general suggestion, try forgetting the Wi-Fi network on your Android phone and reconnecting, or check if there are any developer/network settings on the phone that might restrict IPv6.
