Sorry if this is a very basic question!

In a One-Mesh network, do all range extenders (once registered with the router) have to be positioned in range of the wireless router, or do they 'piggy-back' and pick up the wireless signal from each other? The extender setup instructions imply the former and just talk about seamless connection by devices when moving from place to place, but that doesn't seem to make much sense if the network is to be extended over a large house.

Thanks!

Hello @PeterRD ,

In a One-Mesh network, it is recommended that all signal extenders—once paired with the router—be placed within the wireless router's signal coverage area.
What is the approximate size of the large residence you mentioned? You might need to reconsider whether consumer-grade products are suitable for extending network coverage in your specific environment.
