Firmwareupdate for TP-PL8030P

Hello,
I'd like to ask for a firmware update for the TP-PL8030P adapters which is based on the latest or a more recent *.nvm file.
Background:
As far as I know, all 1200 or 1300 Mbit/s powerline adapter are using the same chipset from Qualcomn (QCA7500).
TP-Link is also selling the TP-PL8010P adapters which are similar to the 8030 adapters except they lack two lan ports.
The lastest firmware for the 8030 adapters is from 28/03/16 while the lastet firmware for the 8010 adapters is from 18/08/16 (Day / Month / Year).
The firmware file of a QCA7500 adapter consists of two files.
The first file is the *.nvm file which is the firmware for the chipset provided by Qualcomn.
The second file is a *.pib file (parameter information block) which stores parameter information (MAC-address, tone-map (which frequencies should be used with which power), ...) and is adjusted by the producer of the adapter (TP-Link).
The new firmware of the 8010 adapter has the following nvm file: MAC-7500-v2.2.2-00-X-CS.nvm .
The latest firmware of the 8030 adapter has only the following nvm file: MAC-7500-v2.0.0-05-X-CS.nvm .
As you can see there is quite a big version jump from one chipset firmware to the other.
With a new firmware I hope to get improved performance and stability, therefore I'd like to have a new firmware for the 8030 adapter which is based on at least the MAC-7500-v2.2.2-00-X-CS.nvm .
Devolo also sells 1200 Mbit/s adapters on the German market and they claim that an firmware update (with NVM 2.2.x ...) boosts performance by 20% (though I do not know if that's true or whether they have adjusted anything else like the tone map).
PS: I tried to crossflash firmware : Using the firmware from the 8010 adapters or a combination of the new nvm with the pib from the 8030 adapter but I could not flash the firmware.

Thank you very much! So NVM is the actal firmware whereas PIB is just the frequeny table? So I can mix newer NVM and older PIB for the same product?

Well to be precise, only module 4 (counting from 0) of the NVM is the actual "Runtime Firmware", but this is nitpicking.
As for the PIB, it's more like a configuration file which, apart from the frequency table with exclusions according to local regulations (hence the EU, UK, US flavors), contains amongst other things CCo("P2P") or MDU("Master/Slave") configuration, QoS settings, DAK (Device Access Key), MAC @, NMK (Network Membership Key) which are not reflashed except in bootloader mode.
The format of PIB file is not immutable but a v2.2.x PIB should work with a v2.4.0 NVM. AFAIK latest PIB for a EUropean 8010P is in http://static.tp-link.com/Beta_TL-PA8010P(EU)%201.0_2.2.3.rar
For flashing, it's better to use the old TP-Link Utility rather than tpPLC, but in a newer version than the one packaged by NOLAN (v2.0 build 20150327 vs v2.0 build 20140923), which can be found in http://www.tplink.com/resources/software/TL-PA8010P_KIT_V1_Utility.zip

Thanks for clarifying! Can I use PIB from 2.0.0 with 2.2, 2.3 or 2.4 NVM?

I don't have a clear response to your question because I haven't tested that sort of weird mix (and don't want to answer theoretically).
But why would you want to do such a thing ? PIBs, just like NVMs, are refined/adjusted with time.

I use the adapters on a really bad wiring across two phases and with fw 2.0.0 I get a stable connection at around 30 Mbps. If I try a newer fw, the connection drops to 4 Mbps and is unstable, or cannot be established at all. So older fw is good, newer doesn't work. That's why I would like to try newer fw with older PIB.

Some news: 2.2.3 firmware still bugged (random disconnects with PS3, DNS error), but 2.4.0 if perfect for me.
Updated TL-8015P with tpPLC without problem, but lost MAC adress with the WPA-8635P (thanks recovery, so use old TP-Link Utility instead of). I used the 2.2.3 PIB.
Thanks again shroeder and NOLAN ! http://forum.tp-link.com/member.php?397177-NOLAN
