I've used the USB 3.0 port to connect a USB hard drive which I've setup as a network drive on all my computers.

Is there any way I can continue to access my USB HDD connected to my Archer VR900 v1 over the Internet?

I've Googled and I think I could do this if the router let me connect to it as a VPN server. That way, I would be connected to my home network from work.

Is there any way of doing this using the router above?

You can check the "ftp (Via internet)" option under Advance>USB settings>sharing Access. Then you can connect to your USB device remotely by entering ftp://x.x.x.x:21.

Thanks for the reply. I'll use that as a start point but I'd prefer something a bit more secure - FTP is quite vulnerable in a few ways. I'd really prefer to VPN to my home network.

Yeah, it is safer to use VPN service.

USB device remotely by entering ftp://x.x.x.x:21.

One condition, public IP address on the WAN port of your router.
