It seems the router block ping IPv6 from externally, but if the IPv6 still work, it has no much influence.

I got my C3150 Dec 28th 2016 from Amazon,
Firm: 0.9.1 0.1 v005f.0 Build 160603 Rel.61835n
Im tired of having to reboot my Router. I had 4 previous Routers from TP Link and Never had this issue before. I use my Main PC as a Video server as well as to download large files.. during heavy traffic it crashes !!! Im tired of rebooting.,,, I use a ...EDUP EP - AC1621....Dual Band 1900M 2.4GH / 5.8GHz 802.11ac WiFi Dongle USB 3.0 4T4R MIMO technology on my Video server/PC...::::: and a USB 3.0 802.11AC Wireless WiFi Network Adapter Dual Band 5.8G 2.4G Up 1200Mbps on another PC ... the rest is phones for now.. I need resolution so I can use my Router as it was suppose to be designed to be used ... I dont remember reading on your website that it would crash under heavy traffic !!.. Please help or give me a RMA so you can repair, replace
or even updated to V2 if that is the only way to fix this issue...
Thanks Juny

You need to contact TP-Link support and ask them for the beta firmware. It should resolve some of your issues.

5Ghz band is not stable and hard to match for some devices should use 2.4Ghz band

Similar issue

I bought the V1 about 2 months ago for my folks to upgrading aging hardware and to give them more range and throughput... After setting it up, it worked flawlessly for about a month and then I started getting support calls of internet no longer working, blablabla... Considering the tech unsavviness, I figured it was really just an internet issue but that proved to be a dead end as the ISP techs confirmed and after going over and fiddling with the device... What I noticed first was that nothing connected to the 5GHz band, it was there, devices would try to connect and that's that... I power cycled and rebooted (through the interface) the unit without any effect. I also noticed a very noticeable slow down in response, specifically when saving settings.I have the latest firmware for the CA version (Canadian)Should I be returning the unit since its still under warranty?Anyone still having issues? I was under the impression I'd be getting a v2 when I bought this off Amazon but didn't really look into différences and didn't think much of it since everything was more than enough for a retired couple lol

I have the Canadian version too. You need to contact technical support (support.usa@tp-link.com) and get them to e-mail you the beta firmware update for the router. This will solve the issues you have described.
