How often happen it? Do you have ADSL provider?

Hello, you can try to disable UPNP on your router.

It's not my ADSL provider as there is no dropout issue on other routers. This one just bricks and then doesn't respond until I give it a manual reboot. What will disabling UPNP do?

i too have been dealing with Archer D7 v1 hanging for a while now.
Had it for almost 3 years, was great, until couple months back, initially on a daily basis, typically overnight, would find it hung in the morning need a power off restart. Then last month the frequency of hangs has been increasing. to the point where 5-6 times daily.

also i have tried all the firmware on TP Link sites both Aus and EU. Also tried the beta firmware that was provided on one of the forum posts...no cigar as they all eventually within few hours or 1 day hung.

So contacted TPLink support , and they provided a beta F/W ver 17407. So far so good... i know its early days yet so dont want to celebrate, but i have gone for over 1 day now with no freeze considering multiple per day before.
Will report back in a week or so after seeing if it reliable or not, heres hoping

FYI my ISP in Aust is TPG Adsl2+ not NBN yet, but the firmware does have the menu option of VLAN so hopefully this might also help people on TPG NBN with this Archer D7 so we don't have to buy another modem/router at least not in short term.
