Archer D7 Modem only mode?

Hardware Version: Archer D7 v1 00000002
Firmware Version : 1.7.0 0.9.1 v0051.0 Build 160322 Rel.56836n
ISP : TPG
I have an Archer D7 which works great but I'm trying to configure an Edgerouter Lite and would like to use the D7 as a pure DSL modem and let the ERL handle all of the routing. Do I delete the PPOE interface from the WAN section or is there something else I need to do?
