Hi, I have a TL-WR841N router but no computer or laptop to connect it using a cable with. Is it possible at all to do the first time setup using only a smartphone ( samsung s6) ?From my smartphone I can access the setup page in the browser but it always says "unplugged" and doesnt do anything.

You have connected it to the Modem?

I'm on different model, but when I connect via a mobile device, I have an option at the bottom (very small letters) "PC / Mobile". If you have the same try clicking PC.

Yes, you need connect a modem to the router's WAN port, and run Quick Setup on the router's setup apge. If no internet access, better to call TP-Link support, it's more convenient to setup on the phone.
